The Beauty of black & white Photography

Black and white photos possess a timeless allure that captivates viewers with its striking simplicity. There are many instances when removing the color of an image evokes feelings of a simpler time. The story these photos tell change completely when taken in black and white. Here is an example from my own work.

The image in color of the telephone is pretty with blue sky and white clouds but it lacks any feeling. I saw potential this image had and changed it to greyscale. Removing the color from the image added something. The same image in black and white creates a feeling of nostalgia and the passage of time. I Believe that this simple composition in black and white is much more appealing.
